- 3 words to
describe yourself.
Talkative,
friendly, funny.
- 3 people
you would like to thank. (For example, your publisher, your cover artist, your
editor, or someone special in your life)
Gosh, only three?
But there are so many! I guess though, top three would be my Publisher, Beth
Walker, my editor ELF and my cover artist, Dawne Dominque. They turned my story
into a book!
- 1 sentence
to describe your book.
A humorous
contemporary about an Australian woman learning that the Irish charm is a hard
thing to resist and that sometimes, trust once lost, can be regained.
- An excerpt
from your book, approximately 300 words long.
“Why do you always have to be so
sarcastically and annoyingly persuasive?” Kate sighed, accepting the fact that
there was no graceful way out of this situation.
“Because it’s a wonderful skill
that gets stubborn, beautiful women to give me a chance,” Jack replied.
Kate’s heart skipped. “Bullshit.”
“That
it is.”
“What?”
Any second now and pigs
are going to fly by.
The man had just admitted he was
a bullshit artist. He was unbelievable!
Jack stopped and turned to her.
Kate barely resisted the urge to look away.
“The truth is. Yer the only
beautiful, stubborn woman I’ve ever met, Kate. And I’ve been arrogant far
longer than I’ve known ye.”
It felt as if the ground beneath
her was going to give way. What was she supposed to do?
“Therefore.” He leaned in to
whisper against her ear. “I am at yer mercy.”
“My mercy?”
“That’s what I said.”
Kate smiled. “My, my. Whatever
shall I do with you, Jack?”
“I hope at least half the things
I wish to do to ye,” he teased, his calloused palm inching between her jacket
and shirt.
“Keep dreaming, Irish,” she said
dryly, though her breath was ragged.
“I will, but it remains to be
seen whether they’ll come true.” The man was all confidence and skilled
seduction.
Kate smirked. “Only an Irishman
would say that.”
“Only a beautiful, stubborn lass
would ignore the truth.”
